How to Play
The Goal
The premise is simple but challenging: Find the Real Image. You are shown 6 images that all share a similar theme or subject. Five of them were created by artificial intelligence. Only one is a genuine photograph taken by a real person.
How It Works
1. Spot the Fake
Find the one real image hidden among AI-generated fakes. Test your eye for detail!
2. Controls
Control by tapping or clicking. Double tap to zoom in, hold and drag to move the image, and click on each thumbnail to switch between them.
3. Train Your Eye
Look for patterns, physics errors, strange reflections, or unnatural motion. AI often struggles with details.
4. Daily Challenge
A new puzzle every day at midnight. Keep your streak alive and compete with friends globally.
Strategy Guide: The Art of Detection
Winning at ImageGuesser isn't about luck; it's about pattern recognition. Generative AI models, despite their brilliance, are statistically bound to make mistakes. Here is your field guide to spotting those mistakes.
1. The "Hands & Limbs" Check
Why it fails: AI doesn't understand anatomy; it just predicts pixel patterns. A hand is a complex shape that changes constantly.
- Count fingers: 6 fingers (polydactyly) is a classic tell.
- Check joints: Do the fingers bend in impossible directions?
- Melting: Do the fingers merge into the object they are holding?
2. Physics & Light Consistency
Why it fails: AI doesn't calculate 3D ray-tracing. It mimics light based on 2D images.
- Shadows: If the sun is on the left, are all shadows falling to the right?
- Reflections: Does the mirror image match the person? Does the water reflection distort correctly?
- Floaters: Are objects sitting firmly on the ground, or hovering slightly?
3. Background Logic
Why it fails: AI focuses its processing power on the main subject (foreground). The background often gets "leftover" attention.
- Architectural lines: Do staircases lead nowhere? Do windows melt?
- Text: Look for street signs or book titles. Is it real language or alien gibberish?
- Faceless Crowds: People in the distance often turn into terrifying blobs.
